Along the path to the NFL, Adam Thielen started with one knee down on the ground to receive instructions and listen about what it takes to become an NFL player at a 2013 NFL Regional Combine trial. Six years later, the wide receiver hit the ground running and is showing countless talents how to be great after venturing through the platform.
And now, Thielen has a bank account that supports his efforts, and demonstrates that all things are possible.
Thielen signed a four-year extension with the Minnesota Vikings worth $64 million, which has a maximum of $73 million. The deal comes with $35 million in guarantees, and due to Thielen’s skill set and dedication, all the guarantees will be met.
Thielen worked himself off the Vikings’ practice squad to become a special teams specialist. However, during the 2014 NFL season in Week Five against the Green Bay Packers, Thielen demonstrated what the NFL world sees now – greatness.
Thielen worked tirelessly on his catching ability, footwork, line discipline and route running. It led to him to starting position, the best receiver on the team, one of the top pass catchers in the league, and a record breaker.
Now, Thielen is rewarded as one of the highest paid players in the NFL.
Recognizing that millions of dollars can be made from the humble beginnings, like kneeling down with a group of other NFL hopefuls, athletes will follow suit.
