Barnes’ passion for sports spans from the womb to the playing fields to sports storytelling.

The hard-work of pursuing a career in sports media allowed Barnes to enter locker rooms of many NBA and NFL teams to gather information to give my readers and fans other perspectives about their favorite teams and favorite athletes’ situations.

As a NFL Writer for of AOL Sports, Barnes covered the AFC North Divisional teams in the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cleveland Browns.

Barnes covers everything D.C. sports related (mainly football and basketball) for as the D.C. Sports Examiner and contributes content to the Sportsjourney network, along with other media outlets.

Multimedia opportunities presented itself to Barnes, and its been a privilege for him to be a guest analyst for countless sports talk shows across the nation and internationally (Montreal, Canada – GamePoints and the Montreal Forum with Tony Marinaro).  Barnes co-host a televised post-game show catered for the Washington Redskins, “The Sideline Report.”

The mission for “” is to promote ‘positive’ stories of amateur and professional athletes, either active or retired. Positive tales are not told as often as negative stories.  Contribute articles from other publications can be viewed on this site.  However, will be an outlet for athletes to have their own words heard, in the fashion they desire.

Barnes is happily married to LaTia Barnes and we have four outstanding gifts – all boys in Zaire, Zachari, Zaelin, and Zanye Barnes.

As a student from Morgan State University, with chapters of his career yet to be written, Barnes pursue to provide great content (for any publication that welcomes him the opportunity), be informative and challenge his readers and fans to think “Big Picture” and out of the box along the way.
