The Washington Wizards welcomed back guard/forward Larry Owens as he signed with the squad Saturday.
The 6-7, 210 guard/forward finished last season with the Wizards, as he averaged 6.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in five games after signing a 10-day contract on April 6.
Before joining the Wizards, the Oral Roberts grad was a member of the Tulsa 66ers of the D-League. On Jan. 16, 2011, Owens signed a 10-day contract with the San Antonio Spurs and debut his talents in the NBA on the same day, as he had an assist and a rebound against the Denver Nuggets.
After playing in five games with the Spurs, Owens was signed to a second 10-day contract on Jan. 26 with the club. Owens participated in two other games before his contract expired Feb. 5, and rejoined the 66ers.
Owens was called up again, this time by the Wizards, where he finished the remainder of the season.
