The San Francisco 49ers announced Tuesday they have signed G Garrett Chisolm and T Kenny Wiggins to Reserve/Future contracts.
Chisolm, who stands 6-6, 299 lbs, was originally signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on June 28, 2011, and later added to their practice squad on Sept. 4. However, Chisolm was later released by the Dolphins on Sept. 20, but he spent time on the Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens practice squads in 2011.
A 23-year old native of Charleston, SC, Chisolm starred collegiately at South Carolina where he earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2010.
Wiggins (6-6, 314) was signed by the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on June 27. 2011, and was later released following training camp. The 6-6, 314 lbs. tackle was signed to the Baltimore Ravens practice squad on Nov. 28 and spent the remainder of the season with the squad.
Wiggins, a 23-year old native of Elk Grove, CA, appeared in 42 career games at Fresno State. As a Bulldog, Wiggins earned All-Western Athletic Conference first-team honors as a senior in 2010 and All-WAC second-team in 2009.
